After communicating its decision to the works council, sources at La Naval have confirmed that it "is obliged to request, shortly," the initiation of a redundancy plan. The secretary general of the works council, Juanjo Llordén, stated that both the general manager and the administrator informed them during the meeting that, after meeting last Tuesday with representatives of the Ministry, "they did not detect any intention to help in providing guarantees to the shipowner Van Oord that it can continue building the dredger at the shipyard with guarantees," one of the premises for avoiding the closure of La Naval. Management will submit the redundancy plan "before the end of the month" and would only withdraw it if an investor emerges during the consultation period with the workers and the processing of the redundancy plan. The committee called a demonstration for the afternoon of Wednesday, September 10, in Sestao prior to the announcement of the ERE termination and has again called on the public to join the march held in Sestao against the shipyard's closure and demanding solutions that guarantee the company's viability. Representatives from the Sestao Sincro Club were present, unconditionally supporting the Sestao Naval Company and its workers, as was only to be expected.

The Sestao Synchro Club participated in all categories in the Euskal Herria Figures, Combined, and Winter Routines Championship, held in morning and afternoon sessions on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Deportiva Naútica Portugalete pool.
Once again, the atmosphere among our swimmers was one of joy and enjoyment. Although the two sessions were a bit long due to the fantastic sunny day that arose for being in an indoor pool, the swimmers rose to the occasion, demonstrating once again their love and enthusiasm for the sport of Artistic Swimming.
During the break planned by the Basque Swimming Federation, the event organizer, to recharge their batteries and eat, our swimmers went to Doctor Areilza Park in Portugalete to eat, have fun, and spend time pleasantly together, as was only natural.
Swimmers in the Alevin category were also able to participate in this championship. The Basque Federation offered the participating clubs the option of participating in an exhibition. This fact was not missed by the coaches of the aforementioned category, who took advantage of the opportunity to participate.

CALL FOR AWARDS FOR BASQUE SPORTS 2024.-February 10, 2025
On February 10, 2025, the 2024 Euskal Kirolaren Deia Sariak took place at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao. Our Sincro Sestao Club was awarded at the event by non-professional work.
After 25 years of existence, we are proud to see all the work done over the years recognized and rewarded at a gala as special as the DEIA Awards.
We want to thank everyone, usually parents of swimmers and coaches, who participated in this great recognition. Their work, dedication, and effort have led this club to this wonderful award.
Four of our coaches, Zuriñe, Ane, Iraide, and Nahia, representing all these people and those who currently form part of the new Board of Directors, athletes, and coaches, went up to the main stage to collect the grand prize.

Our swimmers, present at the awards ceremony, filled much of the Euskalduna Palace with joy and excitement; everything was a celebration, and it showed on their faces.
We are sure that this will not be the last award recognized because we continue and will continue working not only to achieve sporting triumphs, but to demonstrate that in sports it is not just about winning because the most important thing for us is to see our athletes happy, enjoying Artistic Swimming and our coaches sharing all their knowledge of this demanding and beautiful sport.

We would like to once again thank the swimmers' housekeepers and fathers for their collaboration with the Club in setting up and dismantling all the equipment necessary for the day. Without them, none of this would have been possible. We would also like to give special thanks to a very special person for us and for Artistic Swimming in Bizkaia,
Nerea Iglesias, she makes everything fluid and easy, despite all the difficulties that everything entails, and how easy she makes it for everyone. The work she does both in and out of the pool is incredible, especially the good work and consideration she has for the Clubs and their swimmers. Thank you very much, Nere.

A weekend full of synchronization and elegance in Gallarta- December 14, 2024
Last Saturday, December 14th, the Gallarta municipal swimming pools provided the perfect setting for the second day of the Bizkaia Alevín and Infantil Figures League. From 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, swimmers from all categories demonstrated their talent and passion for artistic swimming.

The Junior duos then took center stage with their elegant and synchronized technical routines, demonstrating exceptional performance by the swimmers and technicians from the participating clubs.
The Sestao Sincro Club participated in the Alevines and Infantiles figures and later and to finish the day the participation of two technical duos of the Junior category

A Splash for the Cause: Sincro Sestao Commemorates World Breast Cancer Day.- October 19, 2024
Sincro Sestao immersed itself in a day full of energy and solidarity to commemorate World Breast Cancer Day. The swimmers and coaches underwent special training, demonstrating not only their skill in the water but also their commitment to a cause that touches the hearts of many.
The swimmers painted the pool with a palette of pink and white, universal symbols of the fight against breast cancer, wanting to make it clear that on that day, October 19, 2024, this training, more than just a workout, was a show of unity and solidarity.
With this initiative, Sincro Sestao aims not only to promote artistic swimming but also to take a step forward in the fight against breast cancer, contributing and doing its part to raise awareness of this terrible disease.

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death in women worldwide. However, when detected early, the chances of successful treatment are significantly greater. For this reason, the Sincro Sestao Club calls for prevention and early diagnosis, as these are essential in the fight against this disease. We also want to highlight and extend our full support to all those women who continue to fight this terrible disease every day.

Weekly Challenges to Immerse Yourself in the Fun
Artistic swimming is a discipline that requires not only great skill and coordination, but also tremendous willpower and perseverance. To maintain the team's motivation and enthusiasm, it's essential to incorporate elements of fun into training sessions. Weekly challenges are an excellent way to achieve this, fostering creativity, teamwork, and, of course, laughter!
A World of Possibilities
Challenges can be as simple as setting a record time for a specific routine, or as complex as creating original choreography inspired by a specific theme. The key is to adapt them to each swimmer's level and abilities, and to ensure they are challenging enough to maintain interest, but not so difficult as to discourage.
Benefits of Weekly Challenges
Increased motivation: Challenges make workouts more fun and less monotonous.
Improved coordination and synchronization: By working as a team and performing complex movements, swimmers perfect their technique.
Developing creativity: Challenges involving the creation of original choreographies stimulate imagination and artistic expression.
Strengthening team spirit: By working together to achieve a common goal, swimmers bond and develop a stronger relationship.

Thais Henriquez with Sincro Sestao.-May 3, 4, and 5, 2019
In the current 2018-19 season, the Sincro Sestao Club is celebrating its twentieth anniversary. To this end, a series of activities have been organized, including bringing Thais Henriquez, World Champion and Olympic medalist in Artistic Swimming, among her achievements, to our Club so that our swimmers and coaches can enjoy her and her knowledge.
This weekend, May 3, 4, and 5, the arrival of the swimmers finally materialized, causing great astonishment, excitement, and surprise among our swimmers, many of whom were unaware of their arrival.
On Friday the 3rd, we celebrated a welcome dinner with Thais Henriquez at the restaurant of the La Benedicta sports center in Sestao. There, everyone shared some very pleasant moments, both swimmers and parents, where Thais showed her naturalness, simplicity, and kindness, making our girls feel like the greatest in the world in this sport.
On Saturday the 4th, at eleven in the morning, the Mayor of Sestao, Mr. Josu Bergara, welcomed her in the plenary hall of Sestao Town Hall, presenting her with a gift from our municipality, more specifically, a replica of the oven of the now defunct company "Altos Hornos de Bizkaia", thanking Josu Bergara, the Sports area and the Culture area for their collaboration with us, providing us with the means we have needed at all times.
Following the aforementioned reception, Thais Henriquez gave a talk in the auditorium of the Sestao Music School, where she showed videos of her time with the Spanish national team at the Olympic Games and the World Championships in Rome, where she won the first gold medal in this discipline at a World Championship.
He also recounted his athletic career, his struggles, and all the dedication and effort it took to become a member of the Synchronized Swimming Dream Team.
In the afternoon, she spent a long day with our swimmers and coaches at the Las Llanas sports center in Sestao, concluding with a demonstration of the routines of our Club's different categories and a free solo by Thais Henriquez herself.
On Sunday the 5th, during an intense and early day, Thais Henriquez was once again poolside, conducting a technical session with our coaches and swimmers.
From this Club we want to express our gratitude and admiration to Thais Henriquez, she has shown us the naturalness, sportsmanship, simplicity and humility that a great champion must have, her simplicity, her great kindness and attention to our girls make her even greater if possible, it has been an honor for us to have lived these unforgettable moments with this great person and athlete, never change and continue to show the world, just as you have shown us, that above medals, above success, there is one thing that predominates and must predominate, respect for people and the equal treatment that must be given to them, thank you very much Thais, many people should learn from your humility and simplicity, we will never forget you.
North Zone Schools Open May 4, 2019
On May 4, 2019, the Northern Zone Schools Open was held at the Club Sincro Urbarri swimming pools, located in the town of Etxebarri (Bizkaia).
Our school group participated in it, performing the corresponding figures during the morning session and the combined routine in the afternoon session.
In both participations, our schoolchildren managed to obtain a bronze medal for figures and a bronze medal for the combined routine.
Not only are these two achievements the most important things to highlight, but the great time they had, the unity they all had, and the passion they showed for their sport, artistic swimming, were by far the most remarkable.
Despite their young age, they demonstrate every day the sportsmanship and respect for their opponents that is instilled in them at this club. The joy and camaraderie they display both in training and in their participation make them great athletes. We adults still have a lot to learn from them, despite their age.
Cheer up girls, keep enjoying yourself and keep making us enjoy ourselves like you've been doing so far.

Senior swimmers Ane Begoñe Rincón and Maider Fernández attended the championship, under the supervision of coaches Zuriñe Rincón and Saioa de Lucas, both of whom hold the corresponding qualifications of Assistant Coach and Senior Coach in Artistic Swimming, respectively.
With their participation in the Free Solos, Technical Solos, Free Duos, and Technical Duos categories, they put in a more than commendable performance, achieving the coveted third place in the Clubs category.

ASPANOVAS ASSOCIATION
Until 1989, parents of children and adolescents with cancer treated at the Cruces and Basurto Hospitals felt somewhat unprotected when faced with the problems arising from their children's diagnosis, including psychological, social, educational, and other issues. It was in May of that same year when a group of affected families who believed in the popular saying "Unity is strength" decided to join together and form an association to defend the rights of their children. Thanks to the support of public institutions, healthcare personnel, and many people concerned about the problems of children with cancer, ASPANOVAS Bizkaia became a reality.

Great day lived today Saturday in the municipality of Sopuerta (Bizkaia), day of coexistence between Amatxus and Aitas, while our coaches and swimmers, enjoyed themselves greatly in the zip line park "Sopuerta Aventura".
After our Club season kicked off in early September, both swimmers and coaches suggested a Club outing where we could all enjoy a pleasant and enjoyable day.
Unable to ignore the great suggestion of all of them, the proposal was made to the Amatxus and Aitas to have a meal together in the surroundings of Sopuerta, a pleasant place due to the facilities prepared for such a purpose, and it was possible to materialize it today.
In the "Gallery" section, you can see the photographs taken today by Irune, our official photographer. We would like to thank her for all the moments she allows us to view and save once completed.

Entrenadoras Superiores, pioneras en Bizkaia 10/Julio/2.018
On July 10th of this year, the Sincro Sestao Club achieved one of the goals set approximately five years ago: two of its swimmers, who currently serve as the Club's coaches, obtained the highest qualification in Artistic Swimming, as Superior Artistic Swimming Coaches. They are Ane Begoñe Rincón and Saioa de Lucas.
With this goal accomplished, we have achieved the first two female Artistic Swimming coaches in Bizkaia within our Club. Together with the existing coach at the Sincro Easo Club in Gipuzkoa, they become the only three coaches in the Basque Country with the aforementioned qualification.
The ambitions of the Club Sincro Sestao to train our swimmers in this demanding, but at the same time rewarding sport, do not cease with this achievement, since the current team of coaches existing in the Club, are joined by two more coaches, Zuriñe Rincón and Maider Fernández, who have the qualification of Assistant Coaches of Artistic Swimming, which will shortly continue with their preparation to also obtain the qualification of Superior Coaches, a fact that could be completed in the already started 2018-2019 season.
This Club proudly proclaims these achievements, as all of them were and are swimmers who have trained within the Club from a very young age and who currently, in addition to working as coaches, continue to practice artistic swimming. With this, not only will they not have to resort to external coaches, they will be role models for all of our swimmers, who will not see it as impossible to become great artistic swimming coaches, something that until now has been seen as something unique to the largest clubs nationwide.
These coaches do not complete their training with the aforementioned qualification; they will continue to attend clinics and courses offered by the Spanish Swimming Federation, thereby staying up-to-date on the technical aspects of this sport.
The road to obtaining this title has been long, but very satisfying for them and for our Club. Many trips to the Community of Madrid, where they have completed all their courses, many hours of sacrifice to combine their studies with training as coaches, but at the same time very rewarding, as they will be able to train our swimmers, knowing the best techniques for performing Artistic Swimming.

Many trips to the Community of Madrid, where they have completed all their courses, many hours of sacrifice to combine their studies with training as coaches, but at the same time very rewarding, as they will be able to train our swimmers, knowing the best techniques for performing Artistic Swimming.

The most notable thing of all this was the good atmosphere in the pool, with excellent camaraderie among all the swimmers and of course the great day enjoyed by the swimmers and coaches of the Sincro Sestao Club, ending the day, as it could not be otherwise, shouting in unison with the parents of all of them, cod, cod, cod..............Sincro Sestao.
